Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
TalimSAT ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the TalimSAT platform, website, or related services.
1. About TalimSAT
TalimSAT is an online educational platform that provides practice tests, preparation materials, and analytics similar to the SAT exam. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
When you use TalimSAT, we may collect the following information:
Personal Information
- Name
- Email address
- Account login credentials
- Profile information
Educational Data
- Test results
- Practice test history
- Performance analytics
- Answer selections
- Vocabulary sets and words you create
AI Interaction Data
When you use AI features ("Ask TalimAI" and AI vocabulary generation):
- The text of your prompts and follow-up messages
- The current SAT question being studied (passage, options, your selected answer) when you ask for an explanation
- The vocabulary word and any optional context you provide for AI generation
- An audit log of every credit-consuming AI action (timestamp, action type, credits spent), retained for billing transparency and abuse detection
- Technical metering for each AI request (timestamp, action type, model used, token counts, processing cost and duration), retained for up to 90 days for cost control and abuse detection. It records the size of a request, never its content.
Payment Information
If you purchase paid services, we may collect:
- Payment transaction details
- Billing information
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.
Technical Information
- IP address
- Device type
- Browser type
- Cookies and usage analytics
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Provide SAT practice tests and analytics
- Improve learning recommendations
- Process payments
- Provide customer support
- Improve platform functionality and security
4. Cookies and Tracking
TalimSAT may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Remember login sessions
- Analyze platform usage
- Improve performance and user experience
Users may disable cookies in browser settings.
See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies we use and how to manage them.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal data.
We may share data with trusted third parties only when necessary, including:
- Payment processors (Paddle)
- Analytics services
- Hosting providers (Supabase, Cloudflare)
- Security monitoring services
- AI providers (currently OpenAI) — only the specific text you send through AI features, plus the SAT-question context required to produce a useful response
When you use AI features, your prompt and the relevant question context are transmitted to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's handling of that data is governed by their own terms; per their current API policy, prompts submitted to the API are not used to train their models. We do not transmit your name, email, or other account identifiers to AI providers.
Avoid pasting personal, confidential, or third-party-owned information into AI prompts — once submitted, we cannot recall it from the AI provider.
5a. AI Features and Generated Content
AI features ("Ask TalimAI" and AI vocabulary generation) are provided as study aids. Output is produced by a third-party large language model and may contain factual errors, hallucinations, or out-of-date information. Always verify against authoritative SAT materials.
We log every AI action (action type, timestamp, credits spent, and a reference to the related SAT question or vocabulary word) in an internal credit ledger. This ledger is visible to you on your Profile page and is retained while your account is active so we can investigate billing or abuse disputes. We do not retain copies of the AI provider's responses beyond what you save into your own vocabulary sets.
6. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect user data, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Secure database storage
- Restricted access to sensitive information
However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We store personal data only as long as necessary to:
- Provide services
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes
8. User Rights
Users may request to:
- Access their personal data
- Update incorrect information
- Delete their account
- Request a copy of stored data
9. Children's Privacy
TalimSAT is not intended for children under 13 years of age without parental consent. If we learn that personal information of a child has been collected without consent, we will delete that information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
